Beautiful venue and cocktails to spend your night with... Adorable staff except one should bring the bill any time but before the drink. 🐨?

I have been a regular at this place for a number of years now; and what a place it is! Over time, Eau de Vie has become busier and busier; however the customer service is still brilliant. Most whiskies that you can think of are available. The cocktails are unique and impressive. The whisky room is great because it is... More

The atmosphere is dark and broody, perfect for a quiet naughty cocktail. Oh, the cocktails!! Where do I start. The best cocktail I've had since visiting Walter's lounge at Ailey Beach!! Amazing staff that helped my choice of cocktail, but a word from the wise, I couldn't stop at one!!

This is a Sydney "must do bar". Excellent drinks and great service.Admittedly we were there on a Monday night around 12 but even then the place had a great vibe with a small amount of people in it. I can understand that on a busy night staff would be stretched and not at their peak as per some comments on... More

This place is good for a discovery of cocktails. They have quite a few different ones for anyone's taste. Cocktail master makes them very stylish and for each one there is a small special thing.

We were staying in a local hotel and had exhausted all their bar had to offer from the less than extensive cocktail menu. I googled Cocktail lounges nearby and Eau de Vie was top of the list and only 500yds from our hotel...result! A quick change and we were on our way. Not apparent from the outside, once found, we... This is the most amazing cocktail joint I've ever been too. The staff are friendly and welcoming, cocktails are to die for (pricy but so worth it). You don't just get a cocktail you get an ever lasting memory to go with it. It's a show and tell with alcohol. Food is amazing, such great quality with simple finger food.... More

Overly trendy, know-it-all bartenders and try-hard "butlers" ruin the excellent potential vibe of this space. Avoid and GO somewhere ELSE.

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
