If you love a little cruise while you eat, this is good. However the ship was very dated and the food average. The staff were lovely and knowledgeable. We booked a dinner cruise only to have to pay for mineral water and coffee. Very underwhelming. Not value for money.

Trying to figure out which stood out more, the breathtaking views or the all-you-can-eat seafood buffet!! The staff on the cruise were very pleasant, attentive and courteous. Definitely worthwhile to those that are looking for a good feed while learning about the rich history of the harbour.

Our relatives were visiting us from the UK and it was our sister's birthday, so we booked a Long Lunch Cruise on Captain Cook Cruise ships. We had the most loveliest time with Ayano who looked after us so excellently, nothing was too much for her to do for us, such a lovely bubbly, caring yet a very professional young... More

We booked the Top Deck Lunch cruise on a whim the night before. Expected a light sandwich but nice views. Lovely boat and the meal was scrumptious! There were 4 entree choices. Beef, salmon, chicken and vegetarian. We both had the salmon and it was excellent. Appetizers were served but I can't remember what I had but it was tasty.... More

We have just greatly enjoyed a Penfolds Gold Dinner Cruise with two friends on holiday from the UK. From the Champagne and Canapes on the top deck ( perfect for Opera House and Bridge photos ) when we arrived, to our sad to be leaving time, we had attentive and friendly service. The degustation menu was absolutely superb and each... More

Our 16 hour flight from the US arrived mid morning and so as to get our bodies adjusted to the new day & time, we kept our 1st day pretty low-key and ended it with a dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour. We reserved a window seat & I would recommend that as the views are quite spectacular. The food wasn't... More

We have never booked a Dinner Cruise before. Thought the food, beverages, service and entertainment would be mediocre. But after spending several days in Sydney and seeing so many amazing sights, we decided to do this on our last night. We splurged a bit on the Captain's Gold package, but saved about $50 each by booking a day early at... More

We booked a Cruise and dinner on St. Valentines night for 5pm to cruise the Harbour with 3 course dinner, wines included. We were greeted with Moet to start with. A lovely view of the harbour with a 4 person table by the window. Set entree, choice of two mains, set dessert. The food was beautifully presented. The Beef fillet... More

We took the hop on/hop off cruise which allowed us to visit many harbor communities. One does not appreciate how large the harbor is until you take this tour. The commentary was terrific - filled with facts and little tid bits of local gossip. We got some amazing views of the Sydney skyline. We got off the Fort and walked... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
