This was our first trip to Sydney. We stayed in The Rocks area. Shops, cafes, ferries, bridge, opera house, circular quay all make for an incredible visit. Just to watch the hustle and bustle and people watch. This is s place that really shows Australia at its best. We will certain visit again.

Great atmosphere with fireworks going on at 9pm on a Saturday night! Massive crowd gathered at the harbour just for this. Food variations is pretty good instead of the usual bar grubs.

It is easy access from nuts, train or ferry and a must do, stroll round and have a look at the Opera house, enjoy a drink watching this busy harbour. Awesome

An amazing place to visit and enjoy whether on the water (fantastic) or on the shore. Meal cruises are very good value for money and a great way to see the bridge, opera house and many more iconic landmarks. On shore visits to the opera house or restaurants or just strolling can be relaxing and enjoyable.

One of the most beautiful places we visited. We spent just one day in Sydney, and we spent it here. Walked across the harbour bridge, checked out the opera house, had some food and drinks there. Great atmosphere. The sunset was also great.

Sydney has so much going for it, no wonder tourists love it. The Harbour is truly magnificent, not just the "main" areas that most tourists might see, but it's all the little bays and coves that make it so special. From any viewpoint, whether over in North Sydney or down in Rose Bay, the view of the Harbour is spectacular.... More

From the Opera house to the bridge and the area surrounding the ferries and Old Sydney, there are tons of restaurants, bars and shops.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
