A lovely way to spend a morning in Sydney, a free walk with commentary in the botanic gardens, A must for overseas visitors. 10.30am meet at the cafe. After you can stroll through the gardens to the Opera House.

This Botanic Garden was free to enter. There are plenty of plant species and birds roaming around that keep you occupied for an hour or so. There are excellent views of the harbour from the gardens and there is a coffee shop and toilets within...More

Get away from the busy city and just enjoy the Botanical Gardens. The view of the Sydney Harbour is SPECTACULAR.

Love the gardens! I even did the $10 train tour which is hop on hop off and is 25mins long. I then walked towards the opera house got some great photos.

Newer addition is a small building called the Calyx. "A world-class horticultural space", if you believe their leaflet. They charged $15 for a show called 'the botanical history of chocolate'. Not for me, it's a small space with a cafe! I went 'all about flowers'...More

Excellent place for a stroll, bats hang from the trees in the morning and the views to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House are fantastic.

When the hustle and bustle of Sydney gets too much for you, escape quickly, even for a few moments, to the Botanical Gardens. Lovely walk, you can get 'back in touch with nature' for a little while, and then jump right back into action again...More

Very well designed gardens, well kept and very much worth a couple of hours stoll in the lovely surroundings.

We unfortunately didn't have much time in the gardens but the areas we did see were beautiful and I would definitely recommend a whole or half day trip and a picnic to really appreciate their majesty.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
