Well worth a visit and although you pay for the train, entrance to The Gardens is free. Make sure you walk to Mrs Macquaries chair.

When you are in this garden, you feel you're in paradise, especially when it coincides with some wedding couples taking photos.

This is an easy walk to see whatever you like to see whether you like flowers and trees or watching birds or people. The Royal Botanic Garden borders the harbour and the Sydney Opera House and surrounds the Government House. There is a variety of...More

One of the things I love about Australia is that most major capitol cities have parks within easy access of the CBD, and Sydney is no exception. With the Royal Botanic Gardens occupying some prime harbourside real estate it offers the visitors some great vantage...More

I went here dairying a cool overcast day in October. This is spring time in Australia but there was still enough to see and do in this garden. It seems that there are often activities happening in the park especially on weekends so check out...More

75 acres of trees, plants, flowers, etc, etc. The gardens have a multitude of walks bur you'd never see the whole garden in one day. We decided to take the choochoo express which is a small train that takes you around some of the gardens...More

Lovely manicured gardens. Lot's of flowers and fountains and just hiddenaway quiet spots where you can breathe some fresh air and enjoy the silence.

I was surprised to find the limited amount of animals to view. Perhaps the product of the number of animals on the endangered list. Staff very friendly and helpful. Views of the opera house and bridge spectacular.

By the time the sun came out on a glorious morning, I strolled through some of the Botanic Gardens. They have relaid some of the seasonal beds and they look magnificent even though we lack rain! Well worth a visit to calm the soul in...More

Lovely gardens, no entrance fee. Plenty of places to sit and relax with some excellent views, not only of the gardens and wildlife, but also of Sydney itself. Look out for the eels in the pond- some are huge. Good cafe.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
