Spanning the city center to the North Shore, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a wide steel arch bridge known for its beauty as well as function, providing a crossing for cars, trains, bikes and pedestrians. While the more daring can do the BridgeClimb to the top of the structure, opened to traffic in 1932, anyone can enjoy a walk for free.

The Sydney Harbor Bridge is one of the most known landmarks in Australia and is located right in the touristy spot in Sydney. It is fun to cross and Bridge walks are also a good option.

You can walk across the bridge, start from the city and walk over the bridge, visit Luna Park at Milsons Point, then catch the train from Milsons Point back to the city. Take your camera, the pics you can get from the middle of the bridge are fantastic.

I do not like heights but I managed the climb I found doing the arch of the bridge easier than getting to that point but it is all safe and worth putting my fears aside

I haven't visited San Fransisco, but this is the most beautiful bridge I walked on. What a view! Especially when the sun sets and you see the opera house on the background. Must see.

Sydney Harbour Bridge is more than a Sydney landmark, it's an Australian icon. I always get a catch in my breath when I see it. All he hundred of visits I have made to Sydney I never fail ti admire it. The bridge climb is amazing. Believe me - I am terrified of heights and when friends thought it'd be... More

There are tours where you can walk the bridge while being harnessed. You can walk below the bridge along the river with historical markers and shops nearby.

Never actually walked on the bridge by foot, but crossed it many times on a bus and I think that it is mindblowing how much actually fits on the bridge. There is a lane for cars, a lane for pedestrians, a lane for cyclists and a lane for trains, and everything was so organised and electrically controlled with no partition... More

Fabulous experience. Only part of the climb which could be a little difficult are the ladders but just take it at your own pace. Well worth the small effort.

Do you want an unforgettable experience? Are you afraid of heights? I can assure you that if you answer "Yes!" to either or both those questions, there's hope for you! Sorry I can't subsidise the cost of your climb, but from one who doesn't enjoy heights, this was a completely exhilarating experience. Look at the bridge, walk across the bridge's... More
