The Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust is responsible for managing two of Australia’s premier sports venues – the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium. Both venues are located at Moore Park, only 4km from the central business district and adjacent to the popular bars, restaurants, cinemas and shops of the Entertainment Quarter. Completed in 1988, Allianz Stadium boasts a notable track record of premium events, encompassing Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer, major concerts by Barbra Streisand, U2, Red Hot Chilli Pepers, Robbie Williams, Edinburgh Military Tattoo and even the famous operas such as ‘Aida’ and ‘Turnandot’. Allianz Stadium provides the perfect balance between the big crowd atmosphere and intimacy with the on-field action. These aspects, combined with the location of the venue, make visiting Allianz Stadium a special experience for all patrons.

great viewing if you don't get wet

the best football stadium to watch a big soccer or league game. But heaven forbid if you don't get a covered seat and it rains. Parking is reasonable too

We went to a Sydney FC Game when we were in the city the stadium is very impressive the Home fans were very passionate and kept up a great atmosphere before during and after the game. It catered very well for families with a Movie on the Giant screens before the match and characters from the movie walking around letting... More

From October till April next year is A league (Australian soccer league) season usually. I really recommend to attend to Sydney FC home game if you are in Sydney during the season. The supporters of Sydney FC are so passionate and energetic. The atmosphere at the stadium is also family friendly as many attractions (such as a jumping castle, face... More

It's a pretty big stadium but you feel close to the action. Fantastic place to spend the afternoon watching the Tahs or the Wallabies. Food and drink is sometimes a bit slow but has improved. Certainly better than the Olympic for atmosphere

Great facilities and great seats, family friendly and was great to watch the Waratahs, easy to walk to from the harbour too. Was very impressed, all Aussie stadiums seem to be very good.

Great ground to watch the league at. A lot better than the stadiums back home in Perth. Full strength beer for a reasonable price. Food. Merchandise. Great seats with plenty of room.

I got quite a unique view of the SCG as i was there doing a stair climb challenge called Stadium Stomp. The SCG and Allianz Stadium are modern ovals and were great for the Stadium Stomp challange.

If visiting Sydney in the winter months and you are looking for a unique sporting experience you should consider attending a rugby match. The Waratahs provided a thrilling view into non United States sports. Public transportation to and from the game is free and readily available from most parts of the city. In addition, we took advantage of eating at... More

We visited Allianz Stadium June 05 for the National Rugby League match Sydney Roosters vs the West Tigers. It had been raining pretty much for the last week and the day before was insane with 180mm+ rain falling plus more on game day. We weren’t sure if we were going to be let in as we got there due to... Currently named Allianz Stadium , this is Sydney's premier location for Rugby Union matches. Lots of bars, millions of bathrooms, and seats right down to the touch lines, a great venue.
