Not only is view of Sydney excellent, so are the cocktails. We were a group of friends who wanted to see the city from an elevated platform while enjoying a beverage. The service was spot on and we had a great time!

We had a great early evening here watching the sun set enjoying some great beers and cocktails. The prawns were a nice snack. The service really made it. Professional and on to it. Could easily spend more time here and will ensure we do next time we are in the city

We read that it was better to visit this orbit restaurant rather than Sydney Tower. We came all the way wall ing while Sydney Tower so right next to to our hotel. When we arrived we were told that children couldn't use the bar. We said we just wanted tea and coffee. It was 4ish in the afternoon. Then most... More

For the price of the admission to the Sydney Tower you can enjoy a cocktail as the bar revolves to give a fabulous view of the Bridge, the Opera House and the other high rise buildings around Circular Quay. We went at night and the view was magical but I can imagine it would be amazing at sunset. Service is... More

The major selling point of Orbit is the view. With a revolving floor, you’ll experience a full 360o view of Sydney in around 1.5 hours from the 47th floor of Australia Square (round) Tower. Alas, staff are elusive and not attentive, and whilst the cocktail menu is quite comprehensive the cocktails themself are average.

The Orbit Bar is a revolving bar/ restaurant located on the 47thbfloor of the Australia Square building in the heart of Sydney's CBD. It's well worth a visit for the spectacular view. A good time to go is just before sunset- you can watch the sun go down in style! There is no cover charge. Drink prices are higher- but... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
