The city has an app to download that tells you when the next ferry is arriving for your location. Pleasant ride to locations around Sydney and not expensive. Quick on and off stops. Easy to buy tickets at the vending machines close to each stop.

An opal card which covers all pt they are available at airport station or Cnr shops to which card is free you just put credit on it.
