This massive nature preserve is a great place for a hike, with many, many trails that offer both bush nature adventure, WW2 history and Aboriginal culture and art (engravings) that's at least 1,000 years old. Make your way to the West Head Lookout point overlooking...More

Good place to relax and unwind. What's so good about this place is it's not too far from the city yet you get to the serenity and beautiful scenery nature has to offer. Great place to do bushwalking, fishing, paddleboats, or just simply spending time...More

Wide open space enough for large groups of people, and a lovely view of the water, plus a choice of tracks to go on. But I just felt that $12 per vehicle entry is a bit steep. Nice place, though, but for me, once is...More

Was in the area a few weeks ago and decided to do a short walk near Bobbin Head. Did the short loop near the information centre, uphill and around, took maybe bit over an hour. Was a great walk with plenty of wildflowers in bloom....More

One word - Beautiful! Crisp, clean air, crystal clear river water, surrounded by pines, trees and mountains, BBQs, fishing, paddleboats, bushwalking, educational centres, playground. Great day out and able to take the kids away from their technology (internet not so good)! Can't believe such a...More

It is misleading to think of this as one place as there are many different points where visitors can access it. It has forest, wildlife, coves and rivers and embraces huge inlets from the harbour. One place I visited and loved was Bobbin point. The...More

Driving up from Sydney, Ku-ring-gai Park starts, surprisingly, at the edge of a northern suburb and is only a 45 minute drive, in morning traffic, from Central Station. There are no signs that lead you to the park and only a modest, partially hidden one...More

Beautiful places with good facilities, for a bush walk, fishing or picnic lunch. Very peaceful, especially during the week as can get a bit crowded on weekends.

Loved coming through the gate from North Turramurra and winding down to Bobbin Head. Such a choice of things to do! Lovely family spot for fishing, canoes and paddle boats, picnics, walking, BBQs, children's playground and sand under it, walking and eating at Bobbin Inn...More
