Very nice place! I love being there. The weather was nice, the view was perfect, the atmosphere was very relaxing. I cycled there and was amazed by everything there. So worth to visit

The wonderful design of the heart of the city enables the lake to act as a focus for all the administrative buildings surrounding it. Well worth visiting.

I really enjoyed my runs around the lake. I started at ANU and would turn right or left and always end up with a scenic run. The "serious" (lycra clad) cyclists seemed a bit annoyed with me at times; I stayed to the left but...More

Always nice to sit in park, let the kids run ragged and have lunch. Many places to park with a few places speckled against shoreline to buy food. Hiring a bike and doing a few laps is also popular.

Good place to walk, ride bikes or just hang out by the Lake. Came here on a beautiful Summer's day and walked around the lake.

This is actually an artificial lake. Yet it offers a stunning view of the surrounding environs of Canberra's "parliamentary triangle" area. Excellent place for biking and running, and those who want to go on a picnic with family.

Although an average chilly winter's day there was no wind so we decided to cycle one of two cycle routes circumnavigating this Lake. We chose the shorter of the two going to Kingston. There was a short detour near there but there were plenty of...More

I took a walk by Lake Burley Griffin en route to the museum and was not disappointed by the beautiful views. If I had had more time I would definitely have hired a bike and cycled round the lake.

We are going to Canberra with our aged parents next week. I am wondering whether there is any motorised scooters that I could rent for my Dad for use at the lake. Thank you

I am not sure about scooter hire around Lake Burley Griffin but there are hire shops in Canberra where you can hire mobility scooters for long or short term rent. One is called The Wheelchair Factory. I can't endorse the... More

Hi. Traveling down in 3 weeks with teenagers. I believe there is a Segway tour you can do around the lake parliamentary buildings. Can anybody offer any feedback or advice about this Segway tour. Sounds ideal for teenagers as well as adults. Thank you.
