A beautiful and peaceful place located on a hill with a wonderful sightseeing. Inside of monastery there is a gift store which has good prices.

A perfectly Cretan experience, the knowledgeable staff who spoke perfect English was brilliant in explaining the various tastings we had, came away with a beautiful bottle of dessert wine. Well worth a look :)

Do visit the church AND museum and take time to study the icons, not just the highlights. Excellent shop. Winery was not visited (we knew the wine was good anyway, especially the rosé).
