If one was a child of the 60s, in the mid-west mainland; names like the Banzai Pipeline and activities like surfing were rock & roll dreams courtesy of the Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, the Ventures, etc. To finally see the surf rising and the surfers riding it, is an amazing joining of dream and reality. A beautiful beach and... More

We knew in coming to the North side of Oahu, Pipe was something we absolutely had to see. Of course while in town there was some sort of tournament, which dominate the winter months, so parking was pretty difficult to find. Once you are able to find parking, which is really on the side streets, and seems a bit sketchy... More

We stopped by to watch the surfers take on the Bansai Pipline and were not disappointed. With the waves reaching 20 feet, the show was spectacular. Lots of surfers, photographers, and drones taking advantage of the conditions. It's the best show on the Island and the price is right. Don't miss it.

Ehukai means sea spray in Hawaiian. This small park allows you to access the beach from several points. The beach is amazing. During surf competitions the surfers are literally right in front of you getting barreled!! The restrooms are cleaned early in the morning and are some of the nicer ones I've seen on the North Shore. There is a... More

Ehukai aka Pipeline is iconic for big wave surfing in winter so that's when I visited. It was probably a bit early in the season for really big waves but I was still excited to visit. It had been recommended not to swim due to the rough unpredictable conditions at that time of year so I was surprised at the... More

Gorgeous beach to watch surfers. Travel to the north shore during the weekday when traffic is light to ensure parking. Sand is soft to relax on so bring your beach chairs, blankets, but keep your snorkel at home cause the current is strong. Good place for dogs. North Shore loves dogs but the beach is not legally dog friendly.

Fantastic beach with fantastic waves and soft sand. Be careful though when you swim as currents are strong.

I went here just to see the surfers. On the day that I went the water was a little murky and the waves were not that big so there wasn't a lot of surfing to watch. Some people got up but nothing cool. It's a decent looking beach. But Oahu has better looking ones.

We aren't surfers but stopped to watch because of the reputation of this beach as one of the top spots in the US. Despite smaller waves in the summer when we visited, these waves were still larger than were used to seeing in the way coast and certainly challenging. Lifeguards nearby said they go in "fairly regularly" to rescue people... More
