Had our small wedding at Brigit’s Garden (20 people). We were blessed with a sunny day but the Garden was prepared to host us in an indoor space had it been rainy. Staff all so helpful.
The grounds are BEAUTIFUL. It’s absolutely worth a visit all on its own. It’s as informative as it is gorgeous with signage that provides historical, cultural, and natural facts about Ireland and the garden.

Dear WanderingAndRambling,
We couldn't be more pleased that you celebrated your special day with us! How lovely you were blessed with sun. Thank you for your kind words about our staff, we will certainly pass this on to them.
Perhaps we'll see you again when you have more time to take in the rest of the grounds and features.
Wishing you all the best in your future together!
Warmly,
Brigit's Garden team

Unbelievable. Believe me it’s unbelievable. The setting, the ambience, the various things to see and experience, the staff and cafe are lovely. I was told by the server that the pork belly toastie is unbelievable. I’m glad I followed her recommendation. All I can say was the pork belly toastie was unbelievable as were the complex and delicious side salads.

Slightly quirky Celtic eco-gardens organised around St Brigit and earlier pagan goddess and early Celts and Celtic myths and folk practices. Beautifully and peaceful woodlands and themed mini-gardens, replica roundhouse and thatched hut, huge complex sundial (alas no sun the day we visited) and offbeat little attractions like the pedal-to-generate electricity set up (we exhausted ourselves charging an phone up a few percent) or the camera obscura booth. A slight Wicker Man vibe but we loved it all. Nice cafe and not your average gift shop.

I had been meaning to visit for a long time and the experience exceeded all my expectations. The gardens are truly beautiful, linking our celtic past and looking after the wildlife now and into the future. The 4 'seasonal' gardens are stunning and really told the story of nature throughout the year. The rest of the site has lots of interesting attractions and plenty of space to wander. Our visit was much longer than expected. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch (and something sweet) from the cafe and spent time in the gift shop. Every staff member we met were welcoming and friendly and added to a great day out. I will definitely be back as I have a few more wishes to hang on the tree!

Whilst we are still basking in the afterglow of our magical fairy wedding at St brigits garden I wanted to try to pen a review that would in some way do the gardens and it’s staff justice. We booked our wedding in January 2019 with Caroline and liaised with her from start to finish, through two cancellations due to the pandemic until finally our big day on July 9th 2022. I don’t think words can fully describe the magic that is brigits garden, not only the beautiful gardens that provide the most stunning setting for photographs but the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, that made each and every one of our guests feel like they were the only one. We had a fairy themed wedding so having all the little ones running around in their fairy wings, playing in the playground enjoying the freedom the gardens provided was the perfect child centred wedding we had dreamed of. Caroline was absolutely amazing, she headed a seamless day, sheltering us from any stress, offering us everything from wonderful ideas, fabulous local contacts, and even advice to my other half on how to step back and smell the flowers and let her handle the logistics. She helped us to create our dream day, she totally got our vision and made sure we got what we imagined in every way. Every one of our guests were blown away by the ceremony and the place itself, so much so that our videographer was arranging for his fiancé to come and visit the gardens in the hope he could entice her to get married there too. A special mention also to the wonderful chef Martina who’s canapés in the garden Prosecco reception and the delicious sharing menu which was the perfect choice for an intimate family gathering were talked about amongst out wedding party for the days that followed. . It was truly exquisite. We will return to St, brigits garden every time we are in Galway not only to reignite our memories of that glorious day but also to see those gorgeous people who are at the heart of this special place. If you are looking for a unique and alternative venue to a church/ hotel wedding you will not find anywhere as breathtaking as St brigits garden. Trust us ❤️

Food was not nice. Ordered portion of wedges and a kids portion of pasta the child’s portion was twice the size of the wedges. Poor menu and cake section is always low stocked not much variety. Food is overpriced as to what you get. Not a good variety on menu it would be nice if they done more normal house food.

Dear Explore570869,
We're sorry to hear you had some issues during your visit to our cafe. Our chef cooks everything from scratch daily so it's possible it was a particularly busy day and some stock was sold out. We'll certainly look at the portion size of the chips and at your other comments about variety. We are always changing our offerings and are accustomed to receiving very positive feedback, so our hope is that a future visit would be a better experience. Thank you for sharing your feedback - we appreciate it.
Kindest regards,
The Brigit's Garden Team

€10 entry fee for adults and the child with us was free entry. It’s a beautiful and fun place however we went on a very hot day (25+ degrees) and as there isn’t much shelter we all really felt the heat. But I 100% recommend visiting.

Dear 823vickys. We’re delighted you enjoyed your visit to us and found it beautiful and fun. We have been fortunate with lovely sunny weather this June, which the wildflowers love, but it can get warm. There are shady areas in the native woodland parts of the garden, should you have the chance to visit us again.

This is a fabulous garden experience which should be visited a few times yearly to experience the garden in its various seasons. The cafe is superb. The salad I was lucky to order had the most exquisite tastes I have ever enjoyed in a salad. All staff were wonderful and the shop contains some unusual books and gift ideas. A pleasure to visit. Wonderful in every sense.

Myself and my adult daughter loved the energising woods and abundance of wild flowers. There's lots of pure wild ountryside with many educational plagues explaining and picturing flowers and wildlife. We both learned alot. We drove out from Galway city in less than half an hour for a highly recommended cafe lots of choice, vegan and vegetarian. It's 9e donation which goes back to our precious environment and the community.

An exceptional garden that shows the beauty of the region through the seasons, if you are lucky enough to be in Ireland through the year. A nature trail winds through various sections of the gardens which feature native trees and flowers. There are many places that will interest children, too, a fairy woods, a play area, and a calendar sundial that will challenge even the adults to figure it out. There is also a small dining room for anyone needing some food or refreshment. Unfortunately none of my photos will load, so you will have to go and see for yourself.

Thank you Susan P.
We are grateful for the positive review. Right now we are approaching autumn and gently the leaves are beginning to fall. Its great to be able to connect with nature throughout the year and we hope to see you again later this season.
Best wishes,
The team at Brigit's Garden

Hello,
Dogs are welcome in Brigit's Garden providing they are kept on a lead. We ask that you refrain from entering the four Celtic Gardens with the dog but the wider 11acres are open to you. Kindest regards, Brigit's Garden
