We came here after mistakenly thinking that the best place to go was the Choiseul Art and Craft Centre (big mistake). The Art Gallery is privately owned by Hattie Barnard and her husband and much of the work exhibited there is by Hattie herself - unique and hand made pieces including bowls, mats, jewellery, paintings, made from found materials, calabash shells/pods, wood, recycled paper and many more including at least two books Hattie has written - and high-quality pieces they are too. So too are the pieces they exhibit that are made from local people on the island - again made from wood, palm leaves, and much more. Really sadly we were heading home later that day, travelling handluggage only, so there was little chance of us taking any with us. A shame. The pieces are not cheap, but as Hattie told us herself, every single piece is unique and that's what you pay for. She gave us a personalised and really detailed tour round the gallery and for those with the interest and the time this is a brilliant and unusual place to visit.…

I heard about this art gallery from a friend and had to check it out myself. It did not disappoint and in fact, it was really impressive. When we arrived, we were greeted by Leo and he gave us a lovely tour around the gallery. We met his amazing wife, Hattie and she also told us about the art that they create and stories about the country. We spent hours there. We really enjoyed visiting with them and had a hard time deciding what to get since there were so many beautiful treasures; from paintings, to jewelry, to weaved baskets to calibash bowels. Don't pass up a chance to visit. It's on the south coast of the island and really a great experience.…

Choiseul Art Gallery was definitely the highlight of our trip to St Lucia. The pieces here are truly one of a kind, all handmade and local. The gallery and art space is owned and operated by wonderful couple Hattie and Leo, who took the time to show us all the fantastic pieces they have. They never once pressured us into buying anything, and let us browse around at our own pace. Leo was kind enough to bring out some fresh fruit native to St Lucia for us to sample. The gallery overlooks the Pitons in the distance, and makes for a unique and magical experience.…

Best art gallery we have ever been to, period. The artist couple were extremely kind and welcoming. We were given a tour. The art has variety, baskets, clay, natural local products, paintings... Bonus there are cute animals for kids to see.

The best art gallery I've been to in St.Lucia! Everything is well explained, beautiful art pieces (weaving, jewelry, paintings and more), the place is well kept and the location ever so tranquil! This couple supports the community as they sell on behalf of artists from their area. The young lady produces outstanding paintings of locations in St.Lucia. NEED MORE LIKE THIS! #supportlocal #unique #makingprogress…
