Excellent tranquil walk round this well kept reserve, if you are lucky you may see a kingfisher! All the volunteer work teams on site were friendly and helpful.

My husband and I went for a Sunday afternoon walk and had a lovely time. The reservation is beautifully designed. The trees look lovely at this time of year and there was an abundance of berries of all sorts, ideal for the birds and wildlife. The place is a must for all nature lovers, although we only spent a couple... More

We went for a walk on Sunday afternoon and when we came to the start of the walk wee RSPB volunteers. They were friendly and informative. They gave our children some bird bingo cards to do, free of charge and were excellent at engaging our young children into completing the task. The actual site is peaceful and pleasant. We saw... This reserve is well worth a visit. A quiet reserve, with three hides overlooking different types of habitat. Have been here twice recently and on both occasions had amazing views of the marsh harriers from Reedbed Hide. Have also seen kingfishers, reed buntings and a glimpse of the barn owl asleep in its nesting box on the path near Reedbed... More

I've been coming to this place for years, it is a wonderful little treasure, and an easy walk. There are places to park bicycles in the reserve. Make sure you don't leave valuables in your car, as thieves have targeted this car park in the past.

We have been coming here for many years, both with and without our four now-grown-up children, and it is always a pleasant place to enjoy the peace and quiet. The boarded walkways are well constructed, and slip-proofed for much of the way around the walking routes, making it suitable for walking even if the weather is slightly inclement. The hides... This has always been a favourite walking area odf mine now my partner also enjoys where we often are able to walk and enjoy the unique area. The area is well copiced , hives and viewing areas also well maintained. Only 4 stars as only one portable loo .

Good little reserve in Cambridge. A nice walk with a good variety of birds and mammals, As a birder i'm surprised there are not many rarities here but a nice place for a bit of quiet time :)

What a lovely way to spend an hour on a Sunday morning. The children love to visit the hides and we have seen various birds, insects and a few deer every time we visit. Fingers crossed one day we will see an Otter!
