There are clear waters in the gorge and a great opportunity to get close to nature. It is well preserved as cars entering are limited. We tried a few walks to experience the forest although we did not go for the guided tour. There are...More

The 9 dollar few for the bus was worth it. The Mossman gorge had some spectacular views, swimming spots and enjoyable walks. The water was clear and clean. Well worth a swim and wonder through the national park

This is a very beautiful Rainforest area. No wonder it's world heritage listed. The walk is beautiful in the rainforest. It has a great place to swim. Need to be a good swimmer otherwise stay close to the rocks. Quite refreshing.

We visited here on the 22nd. It's changed allot from the last time my husband saw it 30 years ago. You can either pay $9.70pp to catch a bus up to the gorge or pay nothing and walk the 2k trek. It's an individual decision....More

You can't drive right up to the gorge, you have to pass through the visitor's centre, They encourage you to get the centre bus up there so that you do not walk through the indigenous homestead. The bus costs $9.50 and runs every 15 minutes....More

This place was beautiful, a nature lovers paradise. From the car park you have to take a shuttle bus up to the gorge. This cost of this is $10. The distance too long and narrow to walk any way. There are a few small loop...More

Yes - unless you want to walk! But it's a long walk so for the $10 rough price entry it's worth the bus trip
Can you do a self guided walk what is the cost

You can but better to pay for the bus up and down as it will save you a lot of time. The walk around is 2.7 km from the bus stop and a good view of the local trees. Daintree is different again in terms of rainforest
Is it safe to drink the water?

I wouldn't suggest it as anything from dead animals to human fluids may be in the water. There are drinking water fountains at the visitor center for you to top up on water before you head to the gorge
