Easy to find and check in. For first time canoeists we thoroughly enjoyed the few hours we spent. I doubted whether I would get the hang of paddling but after a bit of trial and error I managed to stay upright and not get wet!! It is so relaxing and quiet.. must do whilst in the Riverland.

Ruth organised a double canoe for us as I had shoulder surgery and had to rely on my husband to paddle. Ruth was very informative about the area we were travelling through and travelled at a pace to suit us. We stopped on an island for a lovely lunch of local produce. Saw lots of bird life, emus and kangaroos.... More

I am delighted that you enjoyed your day. 'Taste of the Riverland' is one of my favourite tours and those emus paraded on the river's edge as if on cue. More

What a spot. Once you're off the bitumen, down the track, and on the water its such a release of the busy life we left behind. Great set up that Jim and Ruth have and the access to calm and beautiful backwaters is quite special. So much wildlife and amazing scenery. Kids had a ball, adults relaxed pretty quickly too.

We were 3 couples so we hired 2 singles and 2 double kayaks for a self guided exploration of the backwaters. It was lovely & peaceful with lots of birds, kangaroos, an emu and many ducks & swans. No mosquitos & we just followed the map supplied by Ruth. We stoppped 1/2 way for a drink and toilet stop and... More

This was so peaceful and serene we came across so much wild life. Lunch included pickled yabbies ...... something I haven't eaten in a very long time. Our guide (Ruth) was very knowledgeable and pointed out lots we didn't know. I recommend this to any age and we will return for a twilight tour

We are pleased that you all enjoyed it so much. The creeks that run parallel to the river from the border to Renmark certainly support this kind of adventure. Congratulations on your achievement. More

Peace and quiet away from speed boats and jet skiers . Paddling along creeks with the birds. Was fabulous and our favourite part of our weekend in the Riverland . Great customer service from owners who were very friendly, passionate about the area and extremely helpful , supplying everything you need including maps and advice on best places to go.

It can be a challenge finding a quiet spot on the river over the Easter weekend so we are delighted to have these creeks around us where kayakers feel the serenity! So glad you ejoyed it. Thanks for your review. More
