The National Wool Museum is a great activity for a rainy day. Free entry (though a donation is suggested) and ample on site parking so nothing to complain about in that respect. All the exhibits are indoors, and you can see the various machines in...More

An indoor museum, this is an ideal place to visit on a rainy day. We toured as part of a party and had a guide to take us around the museum demonstrating some of the original machinery working - indeed part of the museum is...More

Visited the museum which had been recommended to us. We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. The museum takes you through the whole process from carding spinning , weaving, finishing to finished garment using the original machinery which was extremely interesting. What enhanced...More

We visited this on a very wet day. Admission is a contribution, which is nice. Very educational and the guides know their stuff. Great for all the family. The only reason didn't give it full marks was that none of the machinery was on the...More

Very interesting everywhere we went as it's a working mill. Staff within Mill were polite and helpful. Cafe food was tasty, although I have to agree with another visitor saying the service was definitely not with a smile, please or thankyou bordering on rude to...More

This is a working mill, highly educational and informative. The mill holds regular exhibitions and you won't be disappointed. When you have finished looking at the vintage machines and demonstrations, have a drink and a Welsh cake in the cafe. Check out what's on at the...More
