Very good excursion and views
Aug 2020 • Family
Circuito de las Ermitas de Tella is a known excursion in the surroundings of a little town called Tella, in Aragonese Pyrenees, in the North of Spain. In this hiking, you can see 3 little churches, which are nice, especially the views, you can see from these churches. It is an excursion for all family (from children to seniors). Very good.

Breathtaking!
Jul 2019 • Family
After arriving in a little town called Tella, we took this circular trek which took us around an hour with a very relaxed pace and a toddler on a sling. The views were unbelievable, looking at national parks from above, french border just below and a couple of chapels dating back to the 11th century. There was a perfect spot to stop and enjoy a quick picnic too. This was a hidden gem.

Sooooo pretty!

We hiked up to Tella from the River below (from Casa Ruben) along the Camino de Santiago. That was a great hike! Then after exploring the cute little village of Tella, we then embarked on the Circuito de las Ermitas de Tella. What a pretty little hike!!!

The path is good, well marked, and circuitous and I believe it took about an hour with lots of time to explore the three little churches. There are some steep parts and it is mostly a natural path, although there are steps and cobble-stone paved paths in parts. It has both forest-shaded and wide-open pathways. The views everywhere are stunning.

I really enjoyed the information along the way (in Spanish only) which gave some history to the area. The legend of the witches was great!

The three little churches along the trail are well worth a visit inside.

Great hike and soooo pretty! Make sure to fill up your water bottle back in Tella at the fountain.

Great mountain views
Jul 2018 • Couples
A great short walk of easy to medium difficulty. Will take about 1-2 hours to complete. Fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. If you are lucky you will see some vultures flying about as well. The 3 old churches from the 11 to 16th century are lovely to see, but the main attraction are the views you receive. Walk is partially in the shade. Good walking shoes or boots recommended as the path is very uneven in places.

Car parking in Tella is free. There is no through road, so you need to return the same way back. In Tella there are toilet and restaurant facilities.

Fantastic short family side hike
Jun 2018 • Family
This was a fantastic little drive and hike for our family. 20 minutes of switchbacks-with-views off the highway, sort of park where you want, stumble around and find the national park office (or just go off the signs--if you follow you nose, you'll find the circuit), and hike a loop around a little mountaintop (maybe 1.2 miles) with three little "chapels" to stop at along the way. And stunning views all the way around. The hike was easy for a 10 and 14 year old (you could take small kids). I didn't really see any restaurants or shops in the little village, so it was pretty much go, hike, and leave. But what a fantastic way to spend an afternoon, particularly since we were just driving by anyway.

Beautiful place, amazing views
Jun 2017 • Family
We went a family group of 13, with small children ages 3/4 until seniors ages 75.

The walking is easy and safe.

The views are amazing and the Ermitas are so nice and are located in a beautiful landscape.

Don't miss this !
