Great Outdoors
Jun 2021 • Couples
An amazing place to walk, cycle with a rented bike or drive with the in park mini train to fast travel from one side of the park to another.
There are picnic places to stop for a meal, couple of cafes and enough to do for full day, starting from walking the parks trails, climbing a high tower, beating a challanging tree rope course and more.

Great with kids
Jul 2020
Great place for family with children!
This time we only took the small part with the enchanted fairy tale forest with the tiny dwarf homes and the lookout tower. But we have been here several times.
There are however, little to none information in english. We got a small map at the cash desk and no actual information about the park.
The PR and information lever of the park could be better. Home page was also lacking some general information. Fx we would have liked to view a map before we arrived, so we could plan our trip.
However, the park was good, cheap and we can highly recommend to rent one of those carts where you can have bags (and/or) kids. It costs 3,50 for the first hour and then 1,50 euros for each next hour. It was money well spent and the cart was easy to drag.
There is also a small train that you can use to travel from one spot to another. We ended up not using it, despite we had one elderly person with us that normally would be having hard time walking these distances. But from one of the employees at the park we got information that from the spots where the train stops it's possible to call the train so that it would come and pick your group up.
The level of information both at the premises and home page needs to improve. Park itself is fine and great fun for kids!

I was amazed by how beautiful and interesting this place was. The coast, the forest, food...everything was perfect. Some were brave enough to swim in the sea.

Long walks in pine forest
Jul 2019 • Family
It is a lovely place if your child likes fairytales. There are long walks and the map is not that precise. Would be great to know how hard or long walks will be for kids or older visitors in advance.
We visited with family. Entry fee was €5.50 for adults. Cheaper for elderly, students and kids. You get a map at the beginning and can explore on your own. There are several entries into park. Depends what you prefer to see first: elf forest, spriditis (latvian fairytale hero), playground or just have a nice walk around. We entered the main entry with cafe and tourist information centre which is closest to elf forest- there are loads of nice houses for kids to play and explore like a little city. We spent most of the time here. (Exploring old and new parts)
Be prepared to pay extra if you want to rent a wagon (€3.50 first h and €1.50 every next hour or €10 for the whole day) to drag your tired kids around or if they want to ride a toy car or motorbike for 5-10 minutes, €2-€4. You can also rent a bicycle with kids seats at the back.
There are also coffee machines at the entry where you can buy hot chocolate or coffee for €1.20 or €1.
There is a train - that can take you from point A to point B for extra €1.50 per ride. It was running always empty on the day when we visited.
If you are visiting on weekend you might be lucky and meet a real elf or princess or witch or some other fairytale character. Which was very entertaining for all of us.
There is also a cafe by playground. It was very hot day and we struggled to find any shade around there as it is quite open space.
I would suggest you get familiar with Spriditis in advance to be able to make it even more fun for your kids and they would be excited to see those characters on the way.
One downside was that when we entered the park the path-road was wet. They wet it on purpose. But it was so wet it had puddles and one of our children slid and fell right into the mud. Which was not good start for our visit. I didn't understand why would someone need to wet the road in the middle of the forest... if it was just for their empty train....not to make dust. We were not happy with wet condition as we needed to change our child conpletely.
The facilities as toilets were great at the entry and also in elf city. The best I have seen in nature parks.
There is also a zip line and fun on the trees experience in the middle of the park. Can't comment on that as we didn't use it but just bought an ice cream that was reasonably priced at the stall by there.
We bought some souvenirs at the end of our walk right by Spriditis statue. A whistle like his and also a book that you can buy in many languages. The souvenirs were reasonably priced also at the big entry by information centre.
Also we didn't visit butterfly house as we spent already 5h in the forest. It was lovely but very tiring on a hot day.
I can suggest this experience to anyone. Old or young. But you have to be able to walk for quite long and be ready for stairs or steep walks.

Nice place for walking and breathing fresh air
Jun 2019 • Family
We had a recommendation about this park as a very nice place for children.
So we came here at 1 pm and the guide told us that we will spend at least 2-3 hours at gnomes city.
So, we walked everything in three hours :) Gnome city, the old one, is nice but our child was not excited to play here, the new city of gnomes (smurfs :)))) is really colorful, nice and lovely. We loved the witch who spoke in Lithuanian and gave our child many tasks :)She was quiet scarring and we had some dreams at night :D
At the end of the park there is a nice playground for children, you can really enjoy this park with your family, really.

A great place for a walk in beautiful weather. There are many sculptures, a souvenir shop and a train in the park. I recommend visiting the whole family.

Relaxing forest walk
Oct 2018 • Family
Plan about 4-5 hours for this attraction.
There is a sort of "Taxi-train" that will take to pre-determined locations.
The facilities are very good, but the restaurant is surprisingly basic.
Be advised there is a fair amount of walking.

It's a fairy tale themed wood forest, with gnomes, witches and similar things. Great if you have kids.
