Had a great morning caving with Tim at Metcalf Rock. Not for the claustrophobic, but a unique adventure and a hidden gem in the heart of Ontario.

As we were visiting from England, I contacted Free Spirit for advice on beginner kayak trips. Matt responded within a couple of days with useful information, availability on the dates I specified and prices (unlike some of the other providers I emailed). I then booked a 2 hour Beaver River trip via email. The site was pretty simple to find... More

Had an excellent rock climbing experience at Metcalfe's Rock. The weather wasn't on our side but it was a beautiful day out nonetheless. Our guide Ron was very encouraging, reassuring, helpful and knowledgeable. We climbed three different faces of increasing difficulty and had an awesome time doing it! Thanks Ron! :)

This is the second time we have taken a trip down the Beaver River with Free Sirit Tours. Our driver was excellent very helpful in getting the craft to the river and giving instructions to my daughter on how to kayak. We had a great time the Beaver River is beautiful, very peaceful and easily managed by even beginners. There... More

We had our own kayaks and I love the fact we can get our kayaks and us dropped off at different points for our paddle. We took a leisurely 1 hr paddle with a stop recommended by one of the workers. Lots of wildlife to see and great way to spend time on the water. Definitely will be buying season... More

We came to Free Spirit tours on a long weekend and went for a two hour canoe trip - by ourselves - on the Beaver river. This was a great experience. They were extremely busy, so if you want a guided tour, especially on a long weekend make sure to call ahead.

We went for the 2 hour paddle, and we're given great directions to get to the pick up site, the guys there were helpful in outfitting us with whatever gear we needed, open to questions and knowledgeable with answers. They made sure we were ok on our own for the paddle and sent us on our way!! It is a... More

Our family spent the afternoon on August 26, with Ron. We had an amazing climbing experience. Our 16 year old son climbs regularly indoors, and is now eager to expand his outdoor experiences. Ron made the experiences worthwhile for all levels of climbers in our group and went the extra mile to ensure that everyone was able to challenge themselves... More

Spent the weekend climbing and caving at Metcalf Rock. A great time thanks to Andrew (climbing guide) and Troy (caving guide). My son is a pretty good climber and Andrew was good enough to string a couple of more challenging climbs. Loved testing our limits. Both are great activities for all ages and skill levels and Free Spirit Tours are... More
