I hugely enjoyed a ride around Bardenas Reales. What a landscape!! I had no idea a place like this exists in Europe. It is perfectly OK to drive in a normal car, no 4x4 is needed, if one sticks to the main circular road. The...More

Visited with a group from the Camping & Caravanning Club during a tour of Northern Spain. There are some real ‘foodies’ in the group and everyone without exception said what a great atmosphere and how much they enjoyed the meal. Would definitely go again.

Do not pass by without visiting Bardenas Reales; this semi-desert landscape is likely to surprise you with its rough beauty! On the website of the reserve you will find various well signed routes (on foot, by mountain bike or by car). We choose to drive...More

The landscape is indeed worth the dust on your car at the end of the ride, but observe the speed limit if you want to finish your tour without tire puncture. Prefer the recommended routes if you are not driving a 4 wheels drive car....More

Surrounded by areas with grapes, cereal and, nowadays, even rice fields is the semi-desert 41,000 hectares of Las Bardenas Reales. It gives the sense of visiting Mars millions of years ago when it was becoming the barren ground it is today. The entire zone used...More

Hard to believe you'll encounter this kind of landscape so near home. We passed through the badlands of Navarra while on bicycle vacation in july and stayed a few days to explore the area. No need to tell it's a rather arid environment especially in...More

Very enjoyable few hours. Track is passable with care by motorbike. Mixture of loose stone and fine dust. 34km lap around bardena baja, the nicest area according to the lady in the information centre. Lots of scenery.

We drove into the park- the paved entrance is just south of Arguedas, off Calle Real- look for the small brown sign. Otherwise you'll find it very difficult to get into the park by car. This route takes you to the tourist info office, and...More
