This is an old Fort you will see on your right just before you enter the Manner town.A must for anyone visiting here.

a pity more care is not taken of this wonderful place. made with such precision and have stood the test of time. the view from the top of the fort is super.

Much bigger than I'd expected. Get up on the battlements and walk all the way round. Also see from land side and from the causeway.

Its an old dutch fort built in the 1500's in bad shape now if you are in mannar this a place you can visit

Other fortresses in sri lanka are nicely not abandoned and nicely maintained. but this is abandoned and even looks like haunted 😂 its good for photographers by the way

Ruins of a large fort by the sea, with beautifully carved tombstones,still intact, in the Church. Needs to be conserved for future generations.
