Part of a day trip whilst on holiday in Norway. Was worth seeing, but wouldn't have gone especially to see the road and bridge, even though pleased we saw it. It was also a very calm day, I imagine it is very different on a wet and windy day.

Our drive was from Kristiansund to Oslo over a span of 8 days with several stops on the way. The reason for choosing Kristiansund as a starting point was to witness this amazing stretch of road. All the videos I had seen online were off drives during rough seas. Though we were disappointed to get a calm sea on our... More

I visited the road with high expectations having read all the good things about it. But having travelled across it, I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. Firstly, it was just 8 km and the drive was over rather quickly. Secondly, although some of the photos I saw prior to the trip were awe-inspiring, when I was actually traversing... More

We went on three hour road excursion to the Atlantic Ocean Road starting from Kristiansund. This excursion was arranged through Sundbaten, Ms Susanne. We have been searching for a road tour online but no avail. I was informed by Kristiansund tourism centre that there is no tour operator except from the cruise. They recommended me to contact Sunbaten. I am... More

Like many have mentioned, this is a great pit stop for people already in the area. My wife and I were vacationing and stayed the night in Molde, before continuing on the next day to Geiranger. I am glad we took the time to go out of our way and see the Atlantic Ocean Road while we were nearby. There... More

I had seen the video going around social media about this road, so since we were going to Norway I wanted to include it in my itinerary. We flew to Molde just to be able to drive it. If we were going to be there for other reasons, it's definitely worth the drive, but not worth the flight. (The Trollstigen,... More

This well media'd bridge is underwhelming when the Atlantic is not smashing it with waves. We've all seen those photo's, but it's not that way all the time, so then, it's a long drive to just another bridge.

This bridge was built beautifully and was voted Norway’s Construction of the Century in 2005. It's a bit shorter than what its seen in the pictures but still magnificent. There are people fishing along the walkways just before the bridge and there are areas on both sides of the bridge where you can stop and take pictures.

Well the first bridge is nice, is the one shown on the picts, the rest are just normal bridges over some islands. To get there you have to drive a lot though slow roads with nothing interesting to see, for me it is not worth the time/money to get there, there are many other attractions near like trollstigen, Geiranger wich... This attraction should be corrected as ATLANTIC OCEAN ROAD, not as Atlantic Road, because this is the correct name, the road sign in Norwegian Language is Atlantershasveien, means Atlantic Ocean Road. Anyway, after exploring the beautiful city of Molde and visited a friend there, we drove to this road, stopped there and enjoyed the sights and watched some tourist &... More
