this one is easily missed! We passed by and saw many cars parking alongside the highway and there were no sign of any attractions but a path and people walking up. We asked and followed the directions as told. Walking all the way down and...More

First time hiking to Partington Cove and I enjoyed it. Fairly easy to find, just six miles past Nepenthe and pull off to the side of the road, you'll likely see a group of cars already parked by the trail entrance. No signs to indicate...More

I loved this. The bluest of coves, with crashing waves and jagged rocks. The walk down is just right, and has a cool bridge and tunnel. Be careful on the rocks - and look out for Condors on the cliffs above the road - we...More

This is a nice 1/2 mile steep hike that leads to a pretty little rocky cove. No designated parking area, just park in the little scenic pull-off area and walk around the closed gate.

To get to Partington Cove you have to walk downhill until you get to the big rocks where the rocks meet the ocean. You can sit on the rocks and watch the ocean, the waves, the clouds and the sky. You can hear the splash...More

A lot of people park on Hwy 1 Shoulder to go here because accessible coastline isn't easy to find. I found the cove rocks hard to lie on. Worth seeing a couple times.

To get to this you have to have pre-knowhow of the location and a bit of luck because the parking a just along the road and fills up fast. You hike down to the sea and in spring you can see killer wales if you...More
