There are two trails you can hike at Limekiln. My husband and I hiked both as they are both short but this is a beautiful small redwood forest. The first trail we took led us to two beautiful little waterfalls. It was not a hike...More

Loved staying at this state park. We camped ocean side. We had the sound of the creek behind us and the ocean to the side of us. It was heaven on earth. The rocks at the ocean were just dazzling. The camp hosts were very...More

I would recommend getting there early, as the parking area is not at all large. It seemed like there were maybe a dozen parking spots for day visitors. The lot was full when we arrived, but we were told to try back in 45 minutes....More

We made a quick stop at this park to hike to the waterfalls and visit their beach area. The hike to the falls with short but a lot of fun- crossing the stream at multiple locations, walking along logs- a lot of fun for kids....More

Easy hikes to both the falls and kilns. Ground soft and spongy with lots of little river crossings. Impressive falls with beautiful pool at bottom. Beach attached to park also, with awesome views.

Parking lot is small and limited to how many people so we were lucky someone was leaving. Beautiful trail, creek and waterfall. Nice easy hike that's not too difficult.

We will be camping at Limekiln in mid-April this year. We have site 18, a redwoods site. Has anyone else camped there during the month of April? What was the weather like, both in the campground and on the beach?

If March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb, you may have warm April weather. We just camped there last year and with a drought, the upper creek was loud and flowing. Site 18 is on the bluff above the creek and this... More
