A ride along the coast is not complete without a stop at McWay Falls. Friends who saw our pictures thought they were photos of Hawaii.

You could hike around the area but McWay Falls is best enjoyed from the cliffs at a distance. The unique waterfall is photogenic and lends itself well to timelapse or hyperlapse.

Awesome, beautiful short hike, worth the drive. We did a two day exploration of Big Sur and McWay was one of the best highlights.

Apparently not. That's what the park website says (tripadvisor does not permit links so you'll have to google it yourself).
