There's a nice easy hike from a parking lot down to a dammed lake. It's got a pretty nice view of the lake at the bottom. I believe there are multiple hiking trails and you can even hike all the way around the lake if you so choose. There is a snack stand by the parking lot.

If you are going to drive up to this rewarding lake then keep driving Untill the roads ends in a carpark and hotel/restaurant. The car park is free and the Lake is down a rocky path. You are able to walk around this trout filled lake (day license needed to fish) and there are good areas to sit and relax... More

Today we drove up to Llac d'Engolasters, took us a while to find the road, our GPS gets a little testy at times. Did a circuit of the lake, fairly easy walking for 4 X 60+ year olds. On the way back to Encamp, we stopped at the Chapel of Sant Miquel d'Engolasters, beautiful old stone building but the view... More

With a Car you have 2 choices either driving from Encamp to the upper parking at 1400m. Or you might drive at the round about at the Petrol Station from close to the Road coming from Andorra la Vella. If you choose the coming from Andorra la Vella you drive 7 km passing a nice little church until you are... More

Enjoyed the trail. Poorly marked trail on the descent made me lose my way in which became vertical! Instead of 20 minutes to Encamp it took nearly 2 hours. Plus a wait for a bus from Encamp back to Andorra LaVella. Next time I will take a guide. Bought a pair of Sketchers in the sales the following day ...... More

It is a very nice place to go and spend the whole day surrounded by nature. There are a lot of routes to walk and discover the different aspects of these Pyrinnean nature. It is worth to relax and listen to the silence close to the lake. I strongly recommend you to go hiking in this wonderful place!

An easy walk for those of most abilities. Walked with a very determined and fit 82 year old who made it up, beyond and back down. Nice and shady in the heat but you lose the views. Several restaurants around the lake make a lovely welcome respite.

The walk was really nice, peaceful and scenic. The water did not look too clean, but was quite low and with an amazing number of small fish. We parked on the top of the hill in the restaurant car park. We had drinks, but don't waste your time as they were really bad and expensive.

We went to Andorra in May. There is not so many people around as it´s not the season. The place is truly beautiful. Everything is very... More
