There are three sites in the jungle that you will need a guide to get around. This is the oldest archaeological site in Cambodia. Asin most other Cambodian sites year round, you will need to take water and mosquito repellent.

The now ruined complex dates back to the Pre-Angkorian Chenla Kingdom (late 6th to 9th century), established by king Isanavarman I as central royal sanctuary and capital, known then as Isanapura.
