Beautiful castle
This fantastic castle has been restored with great taste and skill, and at under €2 to visit is amazing. The views are very special and it is well worth the visit after visiting many of the other historical sites in this area of Portugal. Wonderful discovery.

Confused...
The castle looks beautiful from the outside. I can not comment on the inside as it was closed (apparently for months) because of construction. This is not an information I could find online so it was a little disappointing to drive away without seeing much.

We was going to the caves on a day out and we could see this castle on the way there. after the caves we thought we would visit it on the way back. It was only 1/2 hour from the caves so no big detour. we followed the signs and parked up outside so no walking up to it. at 230…

Great from the outside but average on the inside
Restored Gothic and Renascence Castle. Pretty good from the outside, i payed the entrance to have a look in the inside. What it looks like is that they are still restoring so it doesn’t really have anything in the inside. It was a little disappointment but the top sunset view…
