Volpaia is located just 15 minutes north of Radda in the Chianti region, up winding roads. The fortified medieval hamlet from the 11th century, still devoted to wine-making, is like a step back in time! Here you’ll find a quiet and picturesque village not overrun...More

Peaceful and beautiful. We walked here from Radda , although a little steep towards the end, well worth it. And three restaurants to choose from when you get there.

Very striking small medieval hill town near La Locanda and Radda. We hiked there and dined at La Bottega. Excellent experiences.

All that you saw in the movie about Italy is here. Narrow streets, ancient stones, shadows and fountains, winery and amazing beauty.

Wander the alleyways and courtyards. No shops. No crowds. A Magical place. See the small wine works, but you will not find anywhere to buy a bottle of their wine.

This is an old town, not much to see but great for a quick afternoon getaway if you are in the area. The drive was good from Radda and it has a great view of the valley.

Very secluded, with nice vistas. Worth the visit! And 3 good places to eat. You really got the Tuscan medieval feeling here.

It is a bit of a drive to get there but it is worth it. Magnificent view from an extremely well preserved medieval village.

Yes there is a place called Bar Ucci that is casual and nice place to have lunch or a drink inside or out. The owners and staff are very friendly. Since valpaia is a Hamlet you won't get lost and can't miss it. The winery... More
