Vino Fiala
About
Taste a good wine, relax, learn something interesting and have fun in a pleasant environment. We organize tastings, corporate events and sightseeing excursions to our vineyards. In good weather we offer sitting under the pergola in the grassy closed courtyard. Enjoy picturesque surroundings, which breathe the history of winemaking and viticulture. Our cellar from the 17th century has an authentic atmosphere of a family winery - original stone arches as well as historical tools and wine barrels, of which many are still in use. In our rustic vaulted wine room, decorated with Modra's traditional ceramics and original tiled stove, we offer traditional local dishes along with wines from our own vineyards. On a visit to Slovakia, Their Highness the Prince and the Princess of Japan did not miss a chance to see our authentic cellar. Don’t miss it either. :)

We attended a wine tasting at this winery and got a lot of wonderful impressions 🤗 The winemaker told us the history of each of his wines in great detail, taught us to recognize the nuances of the aroma of wine, provided us with beautifully served traditional local snacks and showed us the amazing historical cellar under the house where the wine matures. We were able to taste wines straight from the barrel, learned the nuances of winemaking and the history of winemaking in Modra. Thank you very much, we will definitely come back!

Our tour was conducted by the owner Michael and he was phenomenal! From the intro to the food, to the wine, to the cellar, everything was amazing! In addition, we showed up on the wrong day due to a scheduling error on our part and Michael was able to accommodate us anyway. He is extremely knowledgeable and they take great pride in making some fabulous wines including whites, rose and reds. We ended up buying some bottles to go! Highly recommend!

We took just an hour long bus from Bratislava to meet Martin at the winery / cellar. We had a really lovely experience, from tasting wines to learning about them as well as local culture. A very highly recommended addition to anyone seeking something interesting and fun near Bratislava and Modra. We ended up taking 2 bottles home too. Thank Martin!

I visited Vino Fiala together with my parents. I e-mailed the winery just a day before and asked if a tasting was possible. Martin replied imidiately and we visited the day after. Little did I know we would stay for over two hours and get to taste the most delicious wines! I was sad I could only buy two bottles as I didn't have more space in my luggage. The passion and sense of wanting to share is something I'll never forget. Me and my parents traveled around Europe for two weeks and we all agreed on that the trip to Vino Fiala was the best highlight! Thank you Martin for the hospitality! I will be back one day.

We visited Vino Fiala during our stay in Bratislava. We truly enjoyed the wine and diner, but especially the passionate host and his wife and adorable kids.
When you are in Modra and would like an English speaking host, this is the place to be!

Mr. Fiala thank you for a very pleasant evening. We still enjoy the wine we brought back home.

Vino Fiala is a family business winery and worth to visit if you come to Modra. It is cozy and very easy to reach if you come from Bratislava. The wine is wonderful and the tour visiting the winery is precious because they are still using the old way to make wine. The food is great also~ thanks to the cook~ Highly recommend you to visit!

Beautifully humble hospitality and outstanding wine. We asked to have a tasting and were given that lovely opportunity by the winemaker and his family. A sweet, welcoming atmosphere, delicious wine, and we learned so much about the culture/winemaking/everything! Thank you for this experience!

Very friendly owner, certainly a great experience when in Modra. We had a wine tasting for about 2 hours and tasted ca 10 wines. Mr. Fiala is very nice and knows a lot about wine and history. The wine tasted well, we left with a bottle of our favorite one.

We found Vino Fiala on Trip Advisor and reached out to do a one hour tasting. Martin and his family gave us a wonderful wine tasting and tour that highlighted great wines, history of the land and the heart of the family. When I look back on my two weeks, the visit to Vino Fiala stands out. Great wine and hospitality are found at Fiala.
