We tried this when my daughter decided she would start riding . The staff were friendly While we were waiting for my daughter to finish, we had access with my little one to look round and stroke the horses which she loved it cost around £22 for a half an hour lesson and if u didn't have a helmet you... Very easy to find, sign couldn't be big enough... 1st one to one lesson today with Alice who is a great teacher, very patient and very clear with her instructions, even got me to do rising trot on my first go, my horse Maggie is beautiful, spoilt her with sweet apples in her stable afterwards, can't wait for next Sunday,... My 8 yr old daughter started lessons here about 4 months ago. She absolutely loves it! The instructor Megan is fantastic! Reassuring & encouraging ,great with the kids! Knows her stuff a as well! Ive been riding at royds hall on my fave horse Ben, for a about two months now since my old riding school stopped doing lessons. Looking at previous reviews, Gunniebrown seems to mistaken of the location of the site. I would have thought it was obvious that the site was derelict and the new site has moved up further up the road, and has been there for the last four years. My daughter has been attending these stables for lessons over the last 4 years... More

i've been riding here for 4 years now and i love it! Brilliant atmosphere - real family enviroment. All the horses/ponies can be handled by a beginner to a very expreienced rider. The horses are very sympothetic to beginners, they really look after them! In the holidays they do, 'Own a Pony Days' and lots of jumping lessons for novice... More

My son has started to ride at an older age at Royds Hall Farm. We have found the owners and staff to be extremely encouraging and friendly. My son really enjoys his riding there.

I visited Royds Green Riding School Friday 27/01/12 at 16:00 to enquire about riding lessons. They have a website advertising lessons at a competative price.I found the approach lane blocked by the type of barriers used for crowd control and by a white Ford Escort car. on viewing the stables and seeing the staff teach children i decided to let my daughter learn to ride there. at 1st she was scared but with the friendly family enviroment and the staff she soon got in to it. for the past 6months she has come from the scared little girl to a novice rider with confidence towards others....
