Description:

Welcome aboard Winona, our 50-foot, Polynesian style sailing catamaran!...

Welcome aboard Winona, our 50-foot, Polynesian style sailing catamaran! Winona is U.S.C.G. Certified for a maximum of 49 passengers, with plenty of room to comfortably accommodate large groups while still being cozy enough for smaller, intimate gatherings.

She has a 3/4 covered cabin area to protect you from the sun and wind, and her large viewing windows allow you to still enjoy the views outside from her covered seating area. Her open deck is spacious and provides plenty of outside seating and areas to sunbathe. Winona's "Stairway to the Sea" allows easy access to and from the ocean for snorkelers and swimmers. She is equipped with two restrooms for your convenience.

The dress code on Winona is casual to resort attire. We suggest flat, soft-soled shoes or sandals. Hard sole or high heel shoes are not recommended. Winona does have nonskid decking so bare feet are welcome. We recommend you bring along sunglasses, a hat or visor, waterproof sunscreen and a beach cover up to help protect you from the sun. Towels are provided.

Our helpful staff will provide instructions and then equip you with all you need for a spectacular snorkeling experience! Mask, Fins and Snorkel sets or View Boards with built in windows are available to start your adventure. We offer everyone a safety vest and defogger to help keep your experience both safe and fun!

If you would like a special keepsake of your group's event, let us know. We can arrange professional video services (above and below the surface) for your group at an additional cost.

For individual travelers staying on the Resort's grounds, the hotels provide free shuttle service to and from our departure and arrival locations.

Our Captains and Crew look forward to assisting you in creating wonderful memories of your stay in Hawaii!

Aloha!

We went whale watching and snorkelling aboard the Winona in April. However, it was the end of the season so we didn't spot any whales. But we went snorkelling and saw numerous green turtles, and plenty of fish. Captain Don & Raymond were great! Very informative and fun! No need to bring anything but yourselves. Snorkels, fins and towels are... More

My wife and I have logged over 300 dives each with this outstanding family owned dive operator. Safety first shown in scheduling and quality rental gear. And a rich array of dive sites keeps us returning 2-3 x a year. Yesterday saw rays, rare butterfly fish at 70 feet and above a pod of 8 playful dolphins. From. Beginners (certified... More

This is the most amazing dive operation on Kona! The dive shop is located on the shore in a park like setting. We needed only to slip on our wetsuits and enter the boat. Our dive gear was all set up for us and ready. Both Gary and Steve, our guides, as well as our boat captains, made entries and... More

Steve, Gary, Kamika, Spike, Jeremy....They are great people and skilled divers. My son and I are new divers (12 dives) and I feel 100% safe with them. They are also extremely knowledgeable about the reef and its inhabitants. My fellow divers mentioned these divers have been part of Mauna Lani Sea adventures for decades. That speaks volumes.

My family and I have been diving/sailing with Mauna Lani Sea Adventures for 18 years and I have always walked away with a smile on my face and amazing memories. I usually dive by myself, when there, and I have always felt safe and well taken care of even without a "buddy". My favorite time to dive is during winter... More

Thanks to Joey, Ray and Don. Besides the gentle encoragement and instruction given by the crew my first time snorkel trip was excellent. Captain Don found nice sheltered bay on a day of moderate swells and choppy conditions caused by the Trade Winds. Lots of floatation made my venture into the water worthwhile. Our trip back was punctuated by the... More

There are two vendors in this area and both have the same type of sailing vessel. The crew on the Winona were professional, exceptional and very accommodating. There safety briefings before each event was phenomenal. Capt. Don, Comedian Ray and Josh kept everyone at ease and were very attentive to everyone. I highly recommend using their services.

We were a group of nine ranging from 10- 70 years old. As always, they made it safe and funny for everyone. They are great naturalists, pointing out and explaining just about every piece of marine life.
