Beautiful waterfall
Aug 2020 • Couples
Not far from Chiavenna these waterfalls are located. We have seen some waterfalls during our roundtrip but this was one of the most impressive ones. It is high and has two main falls. The haze reaches far. It is easy to access the bottom and you can even enter the water directly after the falls. It is a kind of natural pool. The downstream below is a very popular location to swim and there are lots of people which takes away a little bit of the magic of the falls. Parking in the area is possible but only for limit time and on a sunny day it can be hard to find a spot.

Beautiful waterfalls especially after a week of rain. Close parking. Easy walk to base of falls. Rest rooms near by. Areas to sit and picnic.

Beautiful falls in green sorroundings
Aug 2019
Before leaving after our stay in the area we visited these extremely attractive falls. You can approach them without problems if you put up with a thick cloud of tiny drops of water coming from the falls themselves. It is some problem for photographers, who might wet their lens in the process. Going there is very easy, there are ample parking facilities (at least in working days) and I recommend a small detour to pay a visit while on the way to Maloja Pass and Saint Moritz.

Glorious

We travelled from Lake Como to ‘fill time’ between hotels, hoping it was worth the 40 min drive
We all had a great time- paddling in the waterfalls and climbing the rocks.
Some amazing photos with mini rainbows
A nice basic cafe for snacks with a lovely view
Well worth the trip

A must see
Jul 2018 • Couples
Finding the place on trip advisor and deciding to drive up for a look see and a picnic. Weather was great and we took a seat just down from the falls. Such an incredibly beautiful spot and I have seen many. Sat watching the water, crystal clear, surging and plunging from what appears to be a great height.

Car parking is free just behind a small cafe that has a toilet. A short walk and you’re at the falls. Can’t recommend this enough if you love the outdoors and wonderful scenery.

Perfect picnic spot
Apr 2018 • Family
We stopped at these waterfalls for lunch en route from Chiavenna to St Moritz. Parking is available close to the falls (ticket required, I think €1/hr) and the walk is relatively flat and easy. It took less than 10 mins to walk from the car park to the base of the falls, with 2 young children.

The waterfalls are really powerful and quite spectacular. We really enjoyed our stop... definitely a great place to stretch your legs if you’re driving this way. We visited on a public holiday and it was very popular for swimming and picnics.

There’s a cafe here with a free public toilet too.

Wonderful walk in the nature near the waterfall
May 2017 • Solo
The waterfall itself can be seen even from the road but it is worth to park nearby and walk in the area. There are number of parking lots nearby...
You can spent there from 1/2 hour to whole day, hiking, making a picnic, etc.
There are several beautiful paths around short and long - be prepared for many stairs :-)
The paths goes mostly in the tree's shadows - good for the sunny days - and cross several times the water flow - good chance just to rest and enjoy the nature.

I did the long path from the waterfall base up to the village Savogno, then to the village Dasile and back down (about 8km, 4.5 hours, 700m up/downhill). Really beautiful path and villages (which were almost empty of people).
