If one didn't know about the sand dunes at Maspalomas, these would be a true surprise on an island of mainly rocky coasts but advertising (and reports like this) remove the surprise element so having seen the 'Saharan' pictures one expects to be very impressed. Sadly the area is smaller and less spectacular than one expects and one has to... More

Long sandy beach, with beach bars, shopping options, restaurants and all you need. The spectacular part is, that there is s mini "deser" just next to the beach. So you can easily walk a few meters from the sea and climb up the sand dunes to get nice views and some fun in the sand. Difficult to park directly at... More

This place is really beautiful and worth a visit. Our kids 3,6,8 years had SO much fun climbing up and down the dunes. If you just want to pay a short visit 1 hour is enough, but you could also bring your bathing suit and walk to the beach.

Great dunes in Maspalomas which are adjacent to the beach. Dunes stretch for miles. Children loved rolling down the dunes

Nice beach and very family friendly. Can recommend the spot closest to the light house for families with small kids.

Bring sunblock. Dunes, space and tranquility if you want. Good exercise and a dip in the ocean. Faro and surrounding areas is excellent for a walk after a day in the sun with a few good watering holes.

Playa des Ingles is not a nice area but the beach at Maspalomas is worth checking out. Nice big beach with plenty of sand dunes that give it a sense of the dessert.

The sand is gorgeous. There were a lot of people walking in both directions and lovely views of the sea and the dunes. The views of the naturists were not all so lovely and created a few giggles for us. You can walk all the way along the beach towards Playa De Ingles if you wish or just laze about....
