This fascinating museum, arranged over 3 floors (there is a lift!), was an eye opener. The front desk hands out a guide in English (plus a number of other languages) which explains all the exhibits clearly.

Nice museum, but nothing special. Some of the old pictures were interesting. If you have some time and it rains, do it. Three floors but very little on the actual belle epoque. Expected more. Bit disappointed.

This interesting museum is located in the heart of old Blankenberge at Elisabethstraat 24 and, in a row of 2 of the original 19th Century townhouses, sympathetically recreates the look and feel of part of one of these, including a reception/dining area. The remainder of the 2 houses has an exhibition, using mixed media of pictures, audio (spoken word and... More

what a delightful little museum this is... Beautifully presented displays give an insight to the Belle Époque era, together with the history behind the beginnings of a seaside resort. Well worth a trip.

excellent reminder of an era we will never know, especially as blankenberge has demolished all those glorious sea front buildings. Some evocative photos and film ,and if you are a belgaphile it is a must. Good value and a great view on a clear day from the top

Very nice museum, worth a visit! For a small entry fee you'll experience several floors of Belle Époque history. Quaint, interactive and downright charming!

Original, it breathes the atmosphere of the Belle Epoque one can find in in abundance in the cosy centre of Blankenberge. Very beautiful. There is much art nouveau/ Jugendstil to be admired too in this lovely small town at the sea. We loved it.

A pair of belle époque town mansions converted into a municipal museum. Permanent and temporary exhibitions taking you back to the heyday of seaside tourism in Belgium. Recommended.
