Lepakshi, in the neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh, is easily accessible from Bangalore. The beautiful Veerabhadraswamy Temple and India’s largest monolithic granite Nandi (a bearlike creature) make for a great day-trip option.

The drive from Bangalore all the way up to the parking near the temple is fabulous. The temple is really a nice once. It's an ancient temple, well maintained and active. Worth a visit.

A beautiful temple of 16 th century. Built around the place where the 'Jatayu' Bird in Ramayan fell injured. The temple architecture is very beautiful with very fine carving. the highlight is the hanging pillar of the temple. A must see marvel of Indian architecture. a well preserved and maintained site. Not much crowded.

The temple is properly maintained and it’s full of many pillars. The sculptures are feast to eyes and so detailed. Hire a guide it is highly recommended to understand and explore the... More

Amazing temple. That hanging pillar is amazing. All idols are very good, the best thing about temple is it's calm and spiritual environment. There are so many amazing things there like God idols, pillar, stone structure without joints, God's foot marks etc. The road is very good from bangalore airport you can cover distance in 45 mins.
