Family Research
Sep 2019 • Solo
By chance my cousin and I made the connection with our family in October 2018. My cousin discovered the names and area of my ancestors after researching his own family in Bojano, Italy. Armed with nothing more than a photo and a few names we found descendants of my Great Great Grandfather. Since then I have visited Cusano 4 other times. I have met more than family. I've made friends with Town Hall employees, restaurant owners, and the residents of this small hilltop commune. The scenery is breathtaking. You'll never want to stay in a tourist destination again after taking in the tranquility of Cusano Mutri. I am fortunate to have discovered this amazing town and the genuinely amazing people that call it home.

Historical visit
Oct 2019 • Friends
This was my second visit to Cusano Mutri .
Full of history with the Medieval buildings some not having been touched since they were built. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Enchanting Town in Campania
Aug 2019
I have visited twice and am in love with this place and its people. Everyone has treated us well no matter where we went, from city hall to businesses to private residences. A relative and I have been doing genealogy work in the area about his family from Cusano, and if we stopped at a residence for help, they would invite us total strangers in for an expresso, glass of wine, shot of grappa, and/or more.

Beautiful medieval village

Lovely old village on a hill below the mountains. Friendly locals, good food and good walks. A typical Italian town. Famous for its mushroom festival in October.

A beautiful hilltop village
Sep 2016
This town is like something out of a fairy tale-so very picturesque-It is high on a hill with an ancient monastery. There are lots of interesting shops-artisan jewelry-clothing shops-great little cheese and wine shops-We visited when they were having a muchroom festival and there were lots of people-It's worth the very curvy ride up the road

Typical southern village, built on the rocks surrounding muont matese, in the appenini chain...very pretty in spring and fall, when streests are animated for the classical fairs
