Four guardians
Dec 2019
I loved walking around this temple and seeing all the statuary, esp the guardians on the four corners. It's across the street from a phenomenal fruit smoothie shop and is also part of a larger temple complex connected to the village.

A hub of activity and great to wander through
Nov 2018 • Couples
We went often to the great bakery across the street (Crust Bakery) and would watch the changing face of this temple.
People were always coming and going to buy local street food and to go and pray. Very active in the mornings with parents taking their kids in on the way to school.
We also went for the Full Moon Festival which covers 4 days in November. The grounds turn in to a large flea market with activities for kids and local food stands - first time we saw trays of bugs to eat!
Free to enter and wander in the grounds.

Colorful little temple
Aug 2018 • Couples
Newly built temple, very colorful and catching the eye of by passer. Entry fee 20 baht for foreign visitor, but often there’s no one to sell tickets. Good general explanation in English. Nice attraction worth spending 15 minutes or so.

Temple is lovely to do on a rainy day
Mar 2018
If your in Ko Chang you probably went because of the beaches. And the other things are a by-the-way ...This temple is lovely and adds to the ambience of the place but if you are making a trip all the way to visit it specifically then thats not a great idea. If you are in the neighbourhood and its a rainy afternoon (as most of them are) then hang out in one of the MANY great cafes and walk through the temple. There are monks always around and its an instagrammable moment for sure...

A very special temple at Salak Phet
Jun 2018 • Couples
This temple shows a different type of creatures in the buddhism. We saw animals where we never heard about, heavenly shapes mixed from a bird and fish etc.

Wonderful authentic Thai Temple
Feb 2018 • Couples
The Temple is on the quiet east side of Koh Change and is a picturesque drive from the ferry point, you will spend a lot of time admiring the work which built this temple which is very colourful. It is approximately 1 hrs drive from the ferry with a few view points on the way with a few refreshments stops along the way

Out of the blue
Dec 2017 • Couples
Situated on the remote east side of the island this temple suddenly appears out of the blue due to its colour. It is well maintained and you have to pay to go inside - ladies make sure that you cover up. I don’t mean to sound disrespectful but this temple is pretty ordinary compared to some of the spectacular ones that I have visited.

i don't like to visit this sort of religious places. the most attracted part was the left corner from where you can have a good view of the sea!

stunning temple
Mar 2017 • Friends
On the eastside of the island (it's a bit of a drive..but beatiful, with hardly any hotels...more thai than on the west side) you find this beatiful temple...worth a visit.

Combine it with a great seafood lunch at the fishrestaurant on the pier of Salak Pet

It is a small temple like many in Thailand but has some unique paintings and it is a very nice place to meditate.
