The castle can be visited without a guided tour, it is interesting and you can have a good view from the top. For the caves, we joined a Dutch speaking tour because it is the only way one can visit the caves, we understood close...More

Eventhough I visited this for the second time, I still enjoyed it. Even if the weather was not on our side. I recommend this cave if you want to learn something about the old Valkenburg and what happened during the old days. You will walk...More

The only castle built on a hill in Netherlands. Learn about history and very nice view, you can see the city of Valkenburg from top!

Kids loved running around. Beautiful view. Lots of fun. Kids until 3 go in free. We were there with kids ages 1.7-4 and we all enjoyed. Went with a stroller.

A great Christmas market in the caverns below Valkenburg, with its great stalls and Gluhwein cafe, its a wonderfully christmassy experience. You will love the atmosphere as the air is filled with Christmas carols and the aroma of Gluhwien & Amaretto. Fantastic.

I have been to both, and while both are excellent, Cologne has more appeal I think because it is held next to the cathedral. I also don't recall having Glu Wine at the Dutch Market. I have not used either coach line.

Hello, We are thinking of going here in December, but understand there is a steep walk to get there. I would be so grateful if anyone could tell me little bit about that such as how far is it and how difficult might it be with walking stick. Many thanks Anne
