I was fascinated to learn that the source of the Danube was here. The architecture around the source is good with informative detail in the stone work

If you are from one the countries in which the Danube flows, you'll definitely get touched by this little magic pond. However, we did get a little disappointed when we found out that the real source was somewhere else.

Seeing Danube's springs visited by so many people was surprising. But when one considers how nice the town is, what a wonderful stroll can be had in this town one easily appreciates the beauty of this place.

I live at the Rheine, and impressed that the source of another big European river are only 50 km. away from Europe's biggest waterfall created by the Rheine

This small spring of the Donaubach (Danube Creek) is nicely done but hydrologically it is not the source of the Danube as the name implies.

Quaint old town, and the Spring itself and its immediate surrounds are lovely. We also enjoyed bands and food and drink stalls set up in the area for the 3day celebration. Worth a visit too as you can stroll the lovely parkland and enter the...More
