At the edge of the Roman part of town it is still being used and presents a good entrance to the historic centre.

What a sensation, to walk along a (1 km long) Roman bridge, that is still holding up! A nice stroll across the bridge, to see the Guadiana River. Just lovely. Highly recommended when in Mérida.

This is quite a nice pedestrian bridge across a wide span of river, with good connections to parks below. We walked from the Alcazar across the bridge and back, which is a very nice stroll! Amazing to consider that the Romans built it long ago.

The old Roman bridge is a great example of construction from Roman times. It is well worth a walk along the river and across the bridge. A nice surprise in a small town.

A cliche but one feels like one is stepping back through the centuries. You can't drive over the bridge but worth crossing it.

We didn’t walk through the bridge. Instead, we viewed the bridge through the Arabic fortress which one of the tower provided a great view of the whole bridge.
