This is an amazing place and so convenient within the city. Plenty of opportunity to walk around the well signed designated route - reasonably easy underfoot conditions.

What a wonderful spectacle! Still in use and would be a magical place to see a production. Bit rocky and uneven under foot when walking around but not to be missed if in the area.

Amazing Roman archeological site, amazing story of its rediscovery, excavation and restoration. The theater is once again (after 2000 years) in use for concerts, plays and other events.

I managed it solo in two days. However suggested routes are difficult to follow. Would suggest 3 days but with children might what to think about 4 days.

As most people have recommended, I would agree that an overnight stay is worth it. There are many things to see and do and obviously trying the local food is part of the experience of travel. Enjoy!
