A magnificent palace, that today house a museum and a gallery, was the residence of the noble Trinci family who ruled the city in the 14th and 15th century. It was seriously damaged in several earthquakes, but it is still the most impressive building in...More

It starts with 47 stairs up and 9 stairs down just to get to the ticket office. And as you walk around this interesting palace from the 1500s it’s all up and down. When you want to look at the interesting mosaics it’s another 40...More

There is an entrance fee to pay. There doesn't appear to be any set direction as to how you move around this palazzo. It is a rabbit warren and all instructions are in Italian only. Some of the rooms have a one page brief description...More

This Palazza is located on a lovely piazza. Citizen (town hall), Religion (church) and power in balance around the Square. All great façades. But when you enter Trinci you enter a world of old houses, history combined and organised around a magical stair into one...More

Who knew the delights that Foligno would hold, only after reading the reviews on TA did I discover the stunning Palazzo Trinci which warranted a visit during our recent stay in Spoleto. The palazzo is easy to locate, just a short walk away from Piazza...More

I was shocked at how much I enjoyed this museum. I always enjoy visiting local history museums in Italy, but this was so much more than the typical example. Housed in a phenomenal medieval palace, the building alone was worth the price of admission. Add...More

Here is another reason for not hurriedly rushing off to see Perugia or Assisi immediately when you enter Umbria as if there was nothing better to do. Foligno deserves a visit at least because of the Palazzo Trinci near the center of town. Incredible frescoes...More
