Indovinata visione del fotografo Paolo Guglielmetti. Il profilo della montagna boscosa e le anse della Trebbia ricordano un suggestivo elefante steso a terra. Memoria di Surus, l'elefante di Annibale superstite alla battaglia della Trebbia. Per vederlo bisogna percorrere la SS45 da Ponte Organasco verso Marsaglia. Lo si intravede dalla statale sulla destra poco prima di Confiente.

Surus, elefante di Annibale, sembra ritrovare vita nelle rocce adiacenti i meandri del Trebbia. Ci si trova in una delle valli italiane più belle ed incontaminate, ricca di storia e leggende. Ogni volta che rivedo Surus mi pare di tornare a casa, nel mio habitat naturale. Fiera ed orgogliosa di essere originaria di questa valle.

È uno dei luoghi più belli del trebbia sia per fare un bagno sia per il colpo d'occhio sul paesaggio. Una meraviglia. Consiglio scarpe da ginnastica per la discesa dalla statale, in infradito non è agevolissimo.
