Visited with my kids and their cousins ranging in age from 18 months to 7 years and we all had a fantastic time. Loads to see and do. The post war prefabs and windmill were especially interesting to my kids, and there was lots of room for them to run around and let off steam. There were two well equipped... More

There is a fair bit here, a diverse range of well maintained buildings which cater for a broad age group. There are often themed events so it is a good idea to plan your visit and find out what is going on. Children seem to have fun and the tea room offers a good selection of cakes.

Absolutely outstanding! I was especially pleased to hear the stories of the museum coming alive at night from the young gentleman in the tea room, Luke. He was extremely pleasant and seemed to have a special bond with the Teddy Roosevelt waxwork model. Overall, a brilliant experience (even if the Huns were causing mischief).

Our first visit to Avoncroft & thoroughly enjoyed it!!! The staff & volunteers were helpful & very knowledgable. For each building there were details of where it came from, its restoration etc - found it fascinating!! The collection of telephone boxes & a telephone exchange was a unique experience but interesting. Fab selection of tea & cakes in the coffee... More
