Visited St George’s Bay last week, lovely little bay ( quiet a bit of glass on the beach!) hopefully this is cleaned up in high season as I can see a lot of cut feet!

It's always better to have a hotel with a view of the bay, even so small. Small scale gives intimacy. However, in Malta there are much more interesting bays.

A short walk brought us to this area with lots of food places and a swimming area. Also, the local buses have a pick area.

The seafront was not really suitable t this time of year. We found a bar that no doubt is good in the summer.

This must have been a very pretty bay in days gone by but Malta is so short of beaches that the bay has been crammed with ugly hotels so it has lost all its charm.

The beach is often renovated but is pretty average. The sea is not to clean and not very pleasant whilst the beach itself is a bit crammed. Prefer the northern beaches.

Great for relaxing and going for a stroll. As a whole the beach was clean. It was quite quiet when we went so we had plenty of space and lovely atmosphere. Nice bars and cafes nearby where you can just chill and enjoy a coffee.

A small, nice bay for some relaxation. You should come pretty early to get a spot on the sand, especially during the summer season. The 'sand' is actually very rough. You can also rent sun beds and umbrellas from a small shop across the road...More

Hi I guess many parts of the island will still be very quite and perhaps closed as its out of season, just as it was over Christmas and the New Year. Not sure about the weather and particularly to chance of high winds etc.

There are no good spots to have a good long swim except as you point out Gozo but the currents are strong
