I went to the Tetraeder last Sunday and it is now definitely one of my favorite sights in that area. From up there you have a wonderful view over the entire Ruhrarea. However, the way to the top can be a bit scary if you are afraid of hights. I recommend to go if you are in that area. A... More

This is how an alien spaceship might look like. The sign at the entrance says that the climb is a contemplative experience, because at each platform you have to decide: shall I turn back or continue. A unique experience it certainly is, even without aliens.

My friends took me to the top of this pyramid. I am very afraid of heights but decided to go up it anyways. I'm glad I did. It is a little hard to get to. You have to walk up a small hill from the parking area, so wear some walking shoes. The stairs up to the top of the... More

Nice place to go for a slight hiking. Just go on the top, feel the wind and entertain yourself with the winds and views. From there, look at the view of entire Ruhrgebiet. There are 3 platforms at different elevations for making break or sight viewing. From there, if you have height-phobia don't look down. I am sure that you... More

The Tetraeder is a great place to look at the Ruhrgebiet from an interesting sight. The stairs are a bit demanding for people afraid of heights, but the view is definitely worth it.

We went there to abseil us from there. Very nice view, you can see the cities and the industry. If you go there by night, the lights are stunning. You are not allowed to drive there, but the hill is not very steep nor high, there are lots of benches where you can rest. It is 45m high so you... More

A LOT of steps to get to the top of the mountain on which this very cool structure sits. Then another 200 to get up. A great view of the industrial area surrounding it awaits you. Challenging and extremely enjoyable if that is your sort of thing!

Nice spot to look the whole area. But when you climb up you will miss the art which was done sometime ago by a mental disabbled. he created beautiful pictures by laying the stones on the ground in specific directions. But the "Artist" who designed the Tetraeder forced the town in cout case to destroy this artwork. Very strange and... More
