Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Helsinki is surrounded by wilderness parks, which despite of they are called parks they are old forests where you need to know where to go. Otherwise you can lose your way as I have succeeded to do. Good place to walk, pick especially mushrooms in the autumn. Own food and beverages is better to take with you there are no cafes or restaurants nearby.

Sipoonkorpi is a small national park close to the center of Helsinki, much beloved by locals. It's mostly a forested area with some cultural landscapes (limestone mining, lime-burning, agricultural areas).
The park has two well-marked nature trails (Ponu's Heritage Post Nature Trail 1,4 km in the northern part of the park, and Kalkinpolttajanpolku Trail 7 km in the southern part). The trails are suitable for a half-day excursion. There are no shops or other commercial services, so bring your own food and water (and good shoes!).
The government has a good website with instructions and detailed descriptions of the trails.

Go in summer, autumn or spring. Winter is ok too, but then you need special equipment called skies. Pick up berries, mushrooms, wild herbs etc.And place is located almost in the heart of capital, many bus routes are passing by.

Sipoonkorpi is not easily accessible without a car. However, there are some public transportation options available depending on from which side you would like to enter the park. It is a big park considering its so close to Helsinki. It is small enough to reach one of the surrounding roads within a couple hours if one gets lots. And it's very easy to loose orientation in deep forest and start going circles. There are no food or drink service anywhere in the park. There are camp fires, small camping sites and firewood but no services. If you're not familiar with the park and not used to hike in forest a good map and staying in the tracks would be highly recommended. Sipoonkorpi is much less crowded than e.g. Nuuksio. Very peaceful and safe. Off-peak times you may not encounter anyone else even during a long visit.
